Frequently Asked Questions
What geographic areas does Grace Blanket serve?
Grace Blanket currently operates in San Diego County, California, with plans to expand to Orange and Riverside counties. We are open to discussing partnerships that would support expansion to new regions.
What is the minimum grant size you accept?
We can work with grants as small as $10,000 for pilot programs, though $25,000-$50,000 allows for more robust programming and outcomes tracking. Larger grants ($100K+) can support multi-site, multi-year initiatives.
Can Grace Blanket serve as a subcontractor?
Yes. Grace Blanket regularly serves as a subcontractor to larger organizations that receive Title III-D, CDC, or other aging-related grants. We can provide the evidence-based programming component while you manage overall grant administration.
What outcomes data do you collect?
We collect pre/post assessment data using validated tools (4-Stage Balance Test, TUG, Chair Stand, Falls Efficacy Scale), plus falls incidence tracking at 3 and 6 months. We can customize additional metrics per funder requirements.
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes. Grace Blanket maintains general liability and professional liability insurance appropriate for community health programming. Certificate of insurance available upon request.
Can you help with our grant application?
We can provide letters of support, program descriptions, and outcomes data for your grant applications. For grants where Grace Blanket would be a named partner or subcontractor, we can contribute to narrative sections and budget development.
What is your indirect cost rate?
We use the federal de minimis rate of 10% MTDC, or up to 15% where permitted. We are flexible based on funder requirements and can work with restricted indirect cost allowances.
How quickly can you launch a new program?
With funding in place, we can typically launch programming within 6-8 weeks. This includes instructor scheduling, site coordination, and participant recruitment. Faster timelines are possible if we have existing studio partnerships in your target area.
